Our Mountain Life: Homeschooling, Travels, and Small Stories

Let me tell you something about myself. I’m a freelance journalist, working from home. For a long time, I’ve written about health, quality of life, and travel. Today, I also cover current events and news, with a strong interest in geography, people’s stories, and the small and big tales of history intertwined with places.

I have a four-year-old son, two cats, a dog, and a life partner. Together, we live in an old mountain house in a tiny village in the Apennines of Emilia Romagna, in the province of Modena, near the border with Tuscany.

My son is homeschooled, and as a family, we’ve decided to continue this path in the years to come. We also have a camper named “Charly Timpesta Tito,” which we use to travel. Traveling together, learning, and writing all these small stories about discoveries, homeschooling, and the geography we encounter during our journeys (real or imagined—even through books) is something we deeply value.
